A working cattle ranch in the heart of california
Family owned and operated since 1961.
Nestled in the Cholame Valley near Parkfield, CA population 18, the V6 Ranch envelopes 20,000 acres of the most diverse and alluring country in the heart of Central California.
Guest Activities
During select times guests are invited to experience life on the V6 Ranch, learn ranch skills, and soak up the beauty of this spectacular ranch.
Cattle operation
Each year on the V6 Ranch we raise 800-1000 stocker cattle. This means we buy cattle after they’ve been weaned and raise them until they’re ready to be finished at a feed lot.
Stockers give us flexibility with our herd size, allowing us to rest the ranch when needed.
Terrain & wildlife
The V6 Ranch hosts one of the most diverse ecosystems in the United States. Its grasslands, chaparral, tree groves, lakes, and more provide a home to black tailed deer, wild boar, coyotes, native plants, over 200 species of birds and so much more.
Location
The V6 Ranch is in the southern tip of Monterey County, just a four hour drive from Los Angeles and San Francisco. It sits at the end of the Diablo Mountain Range, right on the San Andreas fault.
