Parkfield cafe server
Join our tight-knit team at the Parkfield Cafe, a small-town BBQ restaurant known for its oak-grilled steaks and Western hospitality. Ideal for experienced servers looking for a unique, community-driven workplace. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a laid-back yet fast-paced environment.
Location: Parkfield, CA
Pay: $16.50/hour + tips
Hours: ~20 hours per week (opportunities for additional work)

Work in a friendly, tight-knit community
Opportunity to explore the V6 Ranch and ride horses

Greet and serve guests with a positive attitude
Take orders and deliver food & drinks efficiently
Provide recommendations and answer menu-related questions
Ensure tables are clean and properly set
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff
Check guests into the Parkfield Lodge
Assist in the gift shop

Previous experience as a waiter or server (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting
A friendly and team-oriented attitude
Must be able to work weekends
Must be willing to relocate or commute to our rural location
Must be 18 years or older
V6 Internship Program
Gain real-world experience in ranching, hospitality, and land stewardship while living on a 20,000-acre working cattle ranch. Perfect for those looking to start a career in agriculture, tourism, or Western hospitality.
Compensation: Housing, most meals, hands-on training, & paid work in the Parkfield Cafe ($16.50/hr + tips)
Responsibilities: Trail guiding, livestock care, guest services, infrastructure maintenance, & more
Requirements: Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, & be willing to work at least two shifts per week in the cafe
