Dude Ranch Getaways
Authentic ranch adventures, with a touch of luxury
Upcoming Dude Ranch Getaways
Learn real ranch skills, explore the spectacular V6 Ranch and relax on this fun-filled ranch experience.
What to expect
On the first day guests will meet at the Parkfield Cafe for a welcome dinner and a chance to get to know the V6 Ranch crew and fellow riders. On the second day guests will be paired with their horse to ride for the weekend. From there we will spend our days on the back of a horse exploring the scenic V6 Ranch’s 20,000 acres and learning the fundamentals of a working cattle ranch from life-long cowboys and cowgirls. Evenings are spent relaxing in the tiny town of Parkfield, enjoying massages, soaking in the pool and hot tub, tasting local wine and beer, or just sitting on the Parkfield Lodge porch watching life go by in a town of 18 people.
Accommodation
Guests on V6 Dude Ranch Getaways kick up their boots in true comfort in the Parkfield Lodge. Each of its 10 unique rooms tell the story of Parkfield and the V6 Ranch and are spacious, fully modern, private, and hand-crafted. The Lodge provides the perfect place to relax with a pool, hot tub, and a large shaded lawn surrounded by towering Valley Oak trees.
Rooms at the Parkfield Lodge are booked via your registration for the ride and are included in the price of the ride. Rooms are assigned by V6 staff. Specific room requests are taken into consideration but are not guaranteed due to capacity restraints.

Food
Nothing compliments a long day in the saddle like a delicious, home cooked meal. All meals are prepared from scratch by the V6 Ranch Crew and Varian Family using the freshest of ingredients. Enjoy California ranch favorites like marinated top-sirloin cooked over an oak bbq, smoky cheese enchiladas, and fresh salads.
Kick off each day with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, homefries, fresh-baked pastries, and fruit. For lunch enjoy sandwiches on locally baked bread with hand-sliced cold cuts and vegetables, delicious salads, freshly baked cookies and more.

“V6 Ranch is an amazing experience. The Dude Ranch Getaways are like being part of their family. The horses are great, the lodge accommodations are very comfortable, and the wranglers are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. This is not a nose to tail 1 hour ride place. You will get an opportunity to ride for several hours on mountain trails and open fields, and see amazing scenic vistas. The food is excellent, and they have several good wine and beer selections with dinner. I go to V6 several times a year, and look forward to it every time.”
