Football has always been a part of our family’s story. Whether under Friday night lights or watching the big game, our family’s love for football runs deep. And this year, we’re excited to see that connection come full circle—the V6 Ranch is being featured in the FOX Sports Super Bowl Pregame Show!

Our family’s ties to football go back decades. Zee’s dad, Jute Smith, played for UCLA and later for the Hollywood Rangers, a powerhouse team in the early days of the AFL. On Barb’s side, football was a way of life—her dad, Billy, had a lifelong passion for the game, that extended to her brothers, Tommy and Dudley, played at high school and college levels. John and Greg even took to the field throughout high school. Football has always been part of the family—whether we were playing, watching, or cheering on the 49ers every Sunday.

A few weeks ago, John, Quentin, Kathryn, Seth, and Rhett had the opportunity to spend the day filming with FOX Sports on Mine Flat and Taylor Mesa, capturing a slice of authentic ranch life. We weren’t given scripts or staged moments—just asked to do what we do every day: roping, gathering, doctoring, and caring for our cattle. It was an unforgettable experience to showcase our way of life, and we’re honored to share it with millions of football fans across the country.
