V6 Cattle Drive - March 31-April 3, 2022
Head out with the V6 Ranch wranglers for a bona fide cattle drive!
Four times a year we invite guests to help us move our cattle back and forth to the far reaches of the V6 Ranch. On these rides guests get the opportunity to ride the most remote, rugged and scenic terrain on the V6 Ranch.
As our guest:
Help gather and move our cattle to grazing locations throughout the ranch
Experience a rarely seen and unique landscape of central California
In the spring, view the vast and lovely wildflowers
Connect with nature, family and friends
Gain working knowledge on gathering, moving and sorting cattle
Build on existing and develop new riding skills and techniques
Schedule:
The ride officially starts with a "welcome dinner" on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Blue Oak Horse Camp and typically ends late afternoon on Sunday. We recommend you arrive mid-afternoon if possible so you can get settled in before dark. The last evening, join us around the campfire for some cozy Saturday night entertainment.
The first night you will set up camp at our Blue Oak Horse Camp 2.7 miles from the Parkfield Cafe. The next morning after breakfast, meet your horse, put your belongings in the horse trailer for transport to Mustang Camp and start your adventure. Mustang Camp, where we will be the following two nights, is located high on the Diablo Mountain Range here on the ranch. You can choose to bring a tent or sleep out under the stars.
Food:
Breakfast and dinner will be provided at our V6 Chuck Wagon dining area. Packed lunches will also be provided for you to eat out on the trail.
Ages:
